The Associate Engineer is responsible for supporting tasks and projects driven by the Engineering Department. The Associate Engineer will also be involved in maintaining existing production processes and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Review customer blueprints and specifications for production
- Create process drawings, fixtures, routers, BOM’s, and any additional material required for manufacturing
- Utilize ERP/MRP system to define and control manufacturing processes
- Maintain the Engineering database and relevant documentation
- Support Engineering projects to evaluate and improve the manufacturing processes for existing product lines
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings
- Assist in investigating and resolving production issues on the manufacturing floor
- Communicate statuses and updates to the manufacturing team for all assigned projects
- Work with outside suppliers of equipment and tooling as required
- Create SOP’s and other support documentation
- Perform other duties as required
- Complete all work in accordance with Precision One Medical’s Quality Management System (i.e. meeting FDA and ISO requirements
Requirements:
- High school graduate (or equivalent) with 5 years minimum of manufacturing-related experience
- Associate degree (or equivalent) with 2-5 years of manufacturing-related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field preferred
- Knowledge of GD&T preferred
- Willingness to work at a machine on the shop floor for an indeterminate period to gain additional machining understanding if necessary
- Must have sharp attention to detail and the ability to exercise independent judgment
- May need to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must have 20/20 (correctable vision) and be able to discern color.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
